NDIS

The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme that gives you the freedom to choose who supports you, and the flexibility to work with a range of service providers to help you reach your goals.The NDIS is committed to provide about 460,000 Australians under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live an ordinary life.The NDIS supports people with disability to build skills and capability so they can participate in the community and employment.

You might be eligible for the NDIS if you:
live in Australia and are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Are under 65 years old
have a lifelong impairment or disability that stops you from doing everyday things by yourself

The NDIS helps people with disability to:
Access mainstream services and supports
Access community services and supports
Maintain informal support arrangements
Receive reasonable and necessary funded support
